I started watching this show after a friend at work said it was good and recommend that I watch it. At first I didn't think it would be all that great, but I watched an episode where a lady was addicted to canned air. Her family was desperate and tried everything they knew how to help her. Some fmaily members would enable her, giving her money for the air while others would use more of a "tough love" approach. Nothing worked.

Eventually she became too much and her family, together with a cousler got her help through an intervention. Basically the idea is they need to hi rock bottom before they can pull themselves out of it. After the intervention she decided to get help and was placed into a facilaty. 60 days later she was clean, had gotten a job and was on the right track.

It's a great show and opens up your eyes to a lot of different addictions, just as the one listed above.
