New York Milks It Again

I feel violated and sucked. More than just broken, defeated is the word I feel.

All by the fitting trademarked and registered name of: Mindless Entertainment. The amazing man that is Mark Cronin has brought us gems like:

Singled Out, Extreme Dodgeball, The Celebrity Paranormal Project and the highest rated series, Flavor of Love.

According to his bio: "He's proud that every single show he has created and run has been renewed by its network for multiple seasons."

I'm a sucka.

I took it all in. The fullness of its being and its girth. And now I hurt. I am ashamed, and so very well should be. I deserved it by not being prepared, I was-redundantly-defenseless. As a virgin wall in the thick of a graffiti convention. I was sprayed and didn't mind.

I've watched the entire first and second season of; 'I Love New York". Yes, Virginia, the entire seasons. I tried to rationalize it by not watching the vile show during the Monday time slot. Instead watching on another date. A time when I'm "bored" or "house-sitting".

I was ensnared while feeding cats as the owners were away.

I stopped the 'My DVR' recording of the 'Colbert Show' to finish watching the un-bweave-ably fabrication that is this woman, Tiffany "New York" Pollard (and yes, I am ashamed I know her name and not the name of the US Attorney General) as she set about finding love in 12 televised episodes in an average of 3 months. According to Wikipiedia, an equally dubious entity: The series is spin off of another relationship competition series, Flavor of Love, which featured Pollard as a finalist in two consecutive seasons.

And another skeleton is out of the closet.

I'm faced with the possibility of: stopping my horrid addition, continuing along the path of certain doom, or an out-right plead for producers/filmmakers/general public to create. Please cut the consumer a break by conceiving.

I'll admit I am here to stare into the screen but just because you spray paint this wall doesn't mean its art.

This addiction ends as soon as I watch just one episode of the newest show: New York Goes to Work.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one...and yes, I don't watch the waste of time on their normal time slots but, on a lazy Sunday afternoon instead!

Your review is so excellently written that I thought that had a touch of 'poetic rhythm' here. (is that the right word?) What a really entertaining write up!!
