One of very few MTV shows I hate.

If you're like me, then you probably don't mind watching every reality show out there at least a few times a week. That's not to say I don't like scripted shows; quite the contrary! But reality TV offers a glimpse into the lives of people from all walks of life, depending on what the general subject of each show is.

That said, Next is probably one of the few MTV shows I don't particularly believe should be on the air. It claims to be a reality TV dating/competition game show, but everything is so scripted! In fact, for some reason, the show's producers think that everything is more entertaining if it rhymes, so everyone speaks in a way that just sounds so incredibly fake! I mean, for things to be catchy they don't always have to rhyme perfectly.

I usually pass up Next if I'm channel surfing. If I leave it on, it's most probably because I need some sort of inane background noise to make me feel like there's more people at home. But I gotta say "Next!" to this one. Sorry, MTV.

@DJRossstar I guess we handle pain in different ways! I love watching how stupid and idiotic their scenarios are but at some point I find myself pressing the channel up button as if it were a life-or-death situation. But you're right, it's a good reality check, showing just how depthless our society can be.
