Pros: Unique game objective and story line, good use of Wiimote capabilities

Cons: Easy to lose interest in, especially if older

The Bottom Line: Worth renting, especially for younger kids, as it is something different, however do not go out and buy it unless you decide you like it.

I will give this game some credit for being a very unique concept. You play as a special enchanted water droplet called Dewy. The objective is to save the world of Eau (French for water, I believe) from the black rain that is covering the world. To save the world you must restore the other color droplets to their pedestals you see when you start the game.

The controls of the game seem at first that they are going to be boring. Anytime the 2 button starts as being my A button and thus says the controller is to be held sideways I always think the controls are going to be boring and not use the unique capabilities of the Wii, such as Metal Slug does not. This game however does use the unique controls. For one you tilt the Wiimote in order to move Dewy, the water droplet, around the levels. At first I kept naturally wanting to the arrows to move him around, but it soon became a natural movement. The up and down arrow keys are used to change Dewy between his different states of ice, water, and mist. Ice is my favorite with its spinning attack done using 1, which is the attack button in all states. The ice is useful when there is water because it freezes the water and makes it possible for Dewy to cross. The main advantage of the water droplet is that is the state you can jump in and it is used to free some of the people of Eau from cages. The main advantage of mist is that it has a lightning attack, which if it does not hurt the enemies it can at least stun them.

Overall I found the game interesting to play. At first it was a little annoying as there is a lot of new controls to use, but my second try on the tutorial level I got the hang of it. I found the other levels kind of fun, but it did not really hold my interest for more than an hour. It also did not really make me want to go back to playing it again, especially after one of the load screens showed Aquapods and made me feel like I was watching a commercial and makes me wonder if the water bottle company sponsored this game. I think it will most interest younger kids as long as they can get the hang of the controls.
