1. Replace ALL characters from XIII with new characters with actual 3-Dimensional personalities (like Sazh) with names not taken from items or food. Next thing you know, one character is going to be named "Faith" or whatnot. 2. Fill in the gaps of the previous story in-game. Though I didn't mind the long cutscenes, I believe even the data-log has gaps everywhere. Square Enix needs to give players more reason to understand the story and mythology more and why, all of a sudden, the game seems to switch from futuristic to futuristic-medieval. 3. Control A.I. gimmicks. The partner A.I. is okay most of the time in FFXIII, but I want to control the A.I. the way I want to, even using items for me. And seriously, get the partners to revive the leader for once. 4. Tactical movement (A.K.A. movement in combat). 5. IN-GAME cutscenes. Plenty of games are doing this now. Players should be dragged into the scene while still controlling the character. Better to not get fans bored while watching long cutscenes.

I really hope they make the soundtrack better. Don't get me wrong I LOVED the soundtrack for XIII. I just hope they make it as good, if not better than XIIIs was.

Gameplay that actually involves the player... And some towns and maps that aren't just a single road...

A better music score, more ways to obtain Gil, more variety and story relevance in sidequests, and not taking as long to get to the point where it opens up gameplay-wise.

I don't want to sound like an @ss but I want towns. I know I know. I liked the first one but it's pacing just wasn't for me. Towns might make it more enjoyable. I have mixed feelings on the battle system, it was fun but to me too fast-paced. I'm not sure if SE should change it or not though. Especially since this is a sequel I think people might be upset if they did. That's just my two cents for now. Still very hopeful and hope it will look as good as the first.
