Legends of metal invade your console.

Metalica has made some cameo appearances on this platform before...but much like an appetizer...this only wet our appetite. Now GH has served the main course...and it's not only a seven course meal...but a smorgasbord of some of the best metal bands around.

the game's difficulty is rather progressive. It starts with some of their later hits like The Unforgiven and progresses to their more complex songs like Battery. But this formula is typical of GH so it should be no surprise that they continued it here. If you're a new gamer to the GH series, the difficulty curve can be brutal...but it is oh so rewarding when you're able to master some of the more difficult tracks.

The graphics haven't been vastly improved upon from earlier GH games...but they do offer smooth frame rate and motion capture that gives the game a much more realistic look. The sound, on the other hand, is recreated to a near perfect replication. The vocals and instrumentals are smooth and crisp and allow the gamer to customize at will. The drums have been "drummed over" allowing the gamer to play the drums any way they wish - a nice touch if you enjoy improvising.

Overall, Metallica GH is a great game that will breath life back into a stale series. It has a number a metal bands legends and the all mighty Metallica...what more can one ask for?
