Jubeat Plus (Jukebeat) Review (iOS only)

It's pronounced as "you-beat"

I feel that this game is more addicting than Angry Birds for some audiences.

Jubeat Plus (Japanese version, Jukebeat for the American App Store) is a rhythm game made by Konami (creators of Dance Dance Revolution, Beatmania, Pop'n Music, Guitar Freaks, Drummania). The actual arcade cabinet is a cube station with 16 (4x4 setup) little screens representing the notes on screen, while another screen tracks the score. As for the adaptation to the iOS platform, the ipad version works wonders. Also, the game plays on portrait mode only.

By default it comes with 3 songs with additional song packs for $4-$5 each (Japanese has roughly over 100 songs available while American version has less as it was recently released)

Songs last around up to 1.5-2 minutes each and it's based on your timing and score to achieve your grade up to SS grade per song. while they may not be Americanized songs, they're mostly pop, eurobeat, rock, etc types.

Difficulties are Basic, Advanced, and Extreme. You will really have to utilize all of your fingers to hit multiple notes. but you can also customize your note marker and test your timing to your preference.

Overall, it's worth the fun as oppose to other rhythm games out in the market as it challenges your hand eye coordination more than 3-4 notes in other games
