Action and Adventure video game for the Computer

First-person 3-D shooting game with characters that are, uh, a little on the unsophisticated side, manning weapons that are just barely sophisticated enough to kill. But kill they do. Emphasis is on humor.

Funny if you're a pubescent kid

Pros: Good graphics

Cons: Slightly stupid

Redneck Rampage is sort of funny but after playing it for a few minutes, it's not so funny anymore. This CD is aimed right at pubescent boys who are slightly off center.

The premise of the game is that 2 beer swilling red necks go out on a "rampage" and kill monsters. It's the same format as most other 3D video games except with the bit of Southern humor thrown in to loosen things up a bit. The best parts are the off the cuff comments by the rednecks.

During the course of the game, you must avoid a monster truck that throws beer cans at you and tries to run you over, chickens are in your path, your diet consists of pork rinds and beer. As you stumble through the terrain of abandoned farms and sheds, you kill monsters as you come across them with shotguns.

Funny? slightly. Gory usual for a 3D video game, Would I recommend to friends? Maybe if they're 14.
