Beyond the Limitations, its a Fun Game

The Sims 3 on 3DS is yet another port of the Sims on another system, which is to be expected of Electronic Arts flagship property. Before I begin I will say that this is my second time getting the game as I own it on PS3 after playing the previous Sims on the PC. Ive had great fun playing it as my first game for the Nintendo 3DS!

Based on my time the Sims 3 on Nintendo 3DS is actually pretty awesome! The 3D effect greatly augments the lack thereof of detailed textures and designs on environments and scenery and helps to bring it to life in vibrant ways. For example, the musical notes from the speaker appear to float around (thanks to the depth provided for by 3D! I love it! Although not as robust in customization options as the console versions in terms of sim design (for example only like 10 or so options for clothes (but free rein via touch in adjusting the placement of facial features and touch enabled placement of furniture and such, and well just touch controls in general) its still a pretty fun and competent version that is fun to play on the 3DS! Another bonus to the controls is that A, B, X, Y, buttons serve as an right hand side D-Pad (in addition to the left D-pad) so one can control in games directions with either side. Lastly, I love the dual displays of top down view of the house via touch and the 3D via topscreen (follow the sim around on there level behind them)

The simlish music is hot, dancing to it like my Sim!!! 3D effect greatly enhances the graphics since Sims was never about them graphics. The game advances still by having essentially plenty of job choices and fulfilling the numerous sims wishes and using karma power. If one looks beyond the limitations of customization features (house restrictions, household limits, sim customization), then there is still fun to be hand in this title. Definitely check it out if you want sims on the go and in 3D!
