The CNN.com website, launched on August 30, 1995, broadcasts breaking news stories reported by CNN news staff and individuals across the country. The website was originally started as an experimental site but quickly grew after popularity skyrocketed the site to prominence among news websites. In 2006, CNN introduced the iReport feature, which allows individuals to send in news stories and media.
Today, the website is among the most popular news sites in the United States and among the international community.
CNN, you're alright. I only come here for "breaking news", which is about one story every week, but everything else on the site is just meh & doesn't seem to get updated very often.
I primarily use CNN.com as my daily news source for world news. I like CNN.com because of it's format which allows me to quickly scan through the headlines and see what's happening in the different major sections of their site. Their content is always well written and their quick vote let's me see what the general feel of a sample population of the nation on the controversial questions they post. You've also gotta give credit to CNN for staying relevant. … more
