A couple of Halloweens ago, I wanted to dress up as a Bleach character. Since I can't go without my glasses, I had to choose a character that also wore glasses; so I decided to go with Captain Aizen Sousuke. Once I settled on a character, I had to decide to either build the costume myself or to buy one already made. That's when I discovered CosplayMagic.com.
Cosplay is the Japanese word that combines two English words: costume and play. Usually, the costumes are designed after characters in popular animes, manga, video games, or movies from Japan or other parts of Asia. In this case, my character is a major player in the anime called Bleach (or Burichi).
Ordering my costume was just a matter of determining my size (easily done using the sizing chart on cosplaymagic.com) and adding my costume to my shopping cart. In terms of price, I paid $105 for the costume, which included the hakama, kimono, haori, sash, bag, two-toed socks, and straw sandals. Additionally, I bought a wig separately.
If I had purchased these pieces separately, it would've cost a lot more. A classic hakama alone, while more realistic looking, can cost over $100. A custom haori would run around $200 minimum. ... So in terms of cost, CosplayMagic.com's costume is a real deal.
The quality of the materials used is quite high. I was expecting some pseudo-fabric, half-cotton, half-some-polymer-of-some-sort, but what I got was a 100% cotton product, very well-constructed.
On the negative side, for $105 I did not look exactly like Aizen Sousuke. There isn't a white under-robe. It's just a white strip of cloth sewn to the edges of the black kimono. The hakama is just a wide-legged pair of pants with a pleated, stretchy waist. The two-toed socks are pretty low-quality.
But the costume was comfortable, and most of the people I know aren't a bunch of purist anime fans, so no one criticized me. Overall, I had fun with it. And, if I decide to go fully cosplay with this costume in the future, I can use the haori I already have.
If you're looking for a unique costume for Halloween or if you're a serious cosplayer, I think you can find something at CosplayMagic.com to fit your needs.

Thanks for Lunching about CosplayMagic! After seeing The Legend of Chun-Li, I was thinking about being Chun-Li for Halloween, or possibly Sailor Moon. Either way, I'm sure CosplayMagic would be the place to look for both of those outfits!

If you get a costume from CosPlay Magic, definitely post pics on the data point here. That would be very cool! Good luck!
Nice. A friend of mine wore a Bleach character costume complete with a white beard and long silver hair last Halloween. I think he may have paid too much for his costume, I'll let him know about this place. nice write up.

It's really easy to spend too much on cosplay costumes. Maybe he'll save some money for this Halloween. :-) ... I can't wait to visit Japan again, so I can go see the real cosplayers down in Akihabara.
