Hootie goes Country!

I was watching the Country Music Awards the other night and the hosts announced that a guy by the name of Darius Ruckers was going to perform. They then went on to talk about how he has made his transition from Rock, to R&B, to Country Music. Sounding interesting I turned up the volume to get ready to hear a performance. The next thing I knew Hootie from Hootie and the Blowfish was performing an awesome country song called "Alright". Yes, you've heard me right, Hootie went solo and is singing country music!

The song "Alright" was no alright, it was great! One of those country songs that is not only a good song, but a song that makes you want to get up and sing along. Darius rocked the crowd at the CMA's and the people watching the show with me were all really digging his song. The song is about not needing all the luxuries in life but being okay with what you have. Some of the lyrics say, "I got a roof over my head, the woman I love laying in my bed and it's Alright... Alright".

This is a great song that I recommend you add to your iPod play lists and car ride CD's. You'll have a fun time singing along with Hootie!
