Goosebumps every time you watch it

This story ran on most news broadcasts and it's one of those feel good personal stories that they typically only run on the weekend news... probably ran on a Sunday. In a time of high paid celebrity athletes, it is so refreshing to see a story not just about love of the sport, but more so love of the team. You can tell from watching this that Jason's pride comes not from the fact that he was in the spotlight and got "hot as a pistol" as he put it, but rather that he was able to contribute and help out his team in a way that he never had before. Layer on top of that his autism and you've got a story that would be too unbelievable to be a movie script. I think we all have a little Jason in us somewhere and when things get tough, it's that part of us that keeps working through it, hoping that some day we too will get hot as a pistol.

I posted this while watching the 2009 Super Bowl and noticed that Nike is using Jason in their ads now. That's how inspiring the last 4 minutes of that basketball game was. I wonder how much Nike is paying him for his work for them. I hope that this commercial endorsement doesn't tarnish this remarkable 4 minutes of a high school team sport because i'm so happy for this kid. If there is any brand that will be able to maintain what made this moment special, I'd bet on Nike.

I just teared up watching this (Ridiculous? Probably...)! That is so inspiring! I can't imagine what it would have been like to be there. Or to be able to work with someone that amazing.
