one of the best things about this intro: the hands in the first shot, the ones checking out the library book, are Wes Anderson! :D

By combining narration by Alec Baldwin, a knack for unique sets and costumes, and a great score ("Hey Jude"), Wes Anderson masterfully sets the stage for his quirky tale of the Tennenbaum family in this 6 minute opening scene.  Its amazing that in such a short time period, Anderson can develop the entire backstory and a good deal of character development for every major character in the movie and do so in an extremely entertaining and artistic way.  The man is a genius.     …
