The Oatmeal is a website created in 2009 by Matthew Inman, who lives in Seattle, Washington, United States. The website features comics drawn by Inman, and occasional articles as well. The Oatmeal gets more than four million unique visitors a month. Due to the popularity of the website, Last Call with Carson Daly hosted Inman and interviewed him about the Oatmeal.

I've just discovered Oatmeal. Not the quaker's choice of breakfast, http://theoatmeal.com/.  Literally, discovered it last night. But it's such a funny site that I haven't been able to stay off of it.       I haven't gotten the complete jist of it- or really why it's in existence- other than it's funny, and I like funny. If you work with me and hear me chuckling to myself on my computer, do not be alarmed: it's just The Oatmeal. No, I am not referring to my delicious breakfast treat of choice - The Oatmeal is a hilarious site that never fails to amuse me.       I first heard of the creator,  Matthew Inman, when I clicked an ad for a dating site called Mingle2 (Similar to eHarmony or something).
