The Sartorialist is a streetwear fashion photography blog, created by Scott Schuman in 2005. It consists of pictures Schuman, who used to work in the fashion industry, takes of interesting outfits he sees on the street. As he says himself on the blog, "When I worked in the fashion industry (15 years), I always felt that there was a disconnect between what I was selling in the showroom and what I was seeing real people (really cool people) wearing in real life."
Schuman has taken photographs of everyone from ordinary people to fashion celebrities. While he is based in New York, he has also scouted out fashion in Milan, Paris, Miami, Berlin, and Stockholm, among others.
Schuman also does a similar version of the blog for Style.com a few times a year.
I used to love reading The Sartorialist, which is a fashion photography blog headed by Scott Schuman. He walks around the streets of New York, Berlin, Stockholm, Miami, or any other fashionable metropolis, snapping beautifully executed shots of people on the street. We get to people-watch some beautiful folks in interesting, pretty outfits. What's not to love?
