Being a freelance web designer, I've come across a myriad of different webhost providers. Some are good. Some are horrible.
WPWebHost is definitely in the former category. They offer the usual bells and whistles (unlimited bandwith and storage space, unlimited emails and mysql databases, Fantastico quick installs of CMS like Joomla and WordPress and other assorted web software/systems, etc.).
I've been with them for a little over a year now.
What sets them above the rest, however, is their terrific customer support. I email them often for DNS and CNAME changes for my clients (depending on the plan they have purchased, certain tasks aren't allowed) and I ALWAYS receive a response within an hour. I've yet to have a tardy reply, or, and more importantly, one that didn't solve my problem or answer my inquiry. Their forums are also very helpful.
FTP and web browsing speeds are great, too. Unlike GoDaddy or Yahoo! webhosting, which limits chmod access to files, or take over an hour just for FTP user names to be created or changed, WPWebHost is quick and user-friendly (well, if you're familiar with the ubiquitous cPanel).
All in all, I highly recommend WPWebHost. (Full disclosure: I have signed up with their Webhosting Affiliate program. Same goes for DreamHost, which I did a QuickTip for several months ago.)
