My Go-To Website For How-To's and DIY!

  • Dec 30, 2010

I've recently hopped on the DIY bandwagon, it started when I wanted to save money for my wedding and now, it's ballooned to encapsulate every other area of my life. I had all this passion for all these undiscovered projects but, I had no idea where to start. Then, I came upon eHow.com with tips and tricks on everything under the sun.

To guide you along, lest you become overwhelmed with all the possibilities that await you there, they have categories: Family, Food, Health, Home, Money, Style, and More are the main categories across the top of the site. They have top 10 articles to catch your fancy and break the subject into sub-categories to further help you hone in on what you want help with in each category. They also have a Browse How-To's with 30 categories along the left side. Amongst these categories are Arts & Entertainment, Computers, Cars, Electronics, Legal, Parenting, Personal Finance, Travel and Weddings & Parties.

On the homepage, there is also the top 10 eHows (currently, How To Roast Chestnuts is #1). They have an eHow of the day (today's is How to Buy Good (Cheap) Champagne), a top How-To of the day (How to Remove Ice Dams in Gutters), eHow essentials (New Years Party for Beginners) and Featured How-To's (How to Print Holiday Photos Like a Pro).

I've gone here when I was in a pinch (OMG!HOWAMIGONNAGETREDWINEOUTOFMYCOUCH?!?!?!?), when I was curious (wonder if I can be like Tim Roth in Lie to Me?), when I was socially confused (how do I unfriend her on Facebook?), when I was daydreaming (wonder if it's possible to backpack through the Swiss Alps?) and when I wanted to be the perfect hostess (how do I plan the PERFECT party?). eHow was there for me in all those situations and many more since. If ever you are lost and have no idea how to do ANYTHING, just click on www.ehow.com, take a deep breath, and get your answer. Yes, it is that easy.

Thanks, Brenda! I love it- it makes you feel like you can do anything lol. And yes, the red wine is gone (some club soda, white wine and baking powder are the magic ingredients :)).
