Chianti For Lunch Or Dinner

Chianti is one of the only red wines that I can drink at lunch or dinner. I love red wines in general but end up feeling very ill after most- hence even though I like the taste they don't usually score for me as it's just not worth the after effects.
For some reason though, Chianti sits pretty well with me - as long as I don't have too much of it. It has a nice round flavor that's not too bitter or dry.  Cheers!

The beauty with old world wines is that they are made in a way (generally lower alcohol than California wines) that allows you to enjoy them, bottle after bottle and not feel bad the next day.

Could it be something with sulfites? Do Chianti's have less sulfites?
