My favorite movie soundtracks

  • Dec 8, 2010
1
Saturday Night Fever (Soundtrack) (Remastered)
I love the music of the Bee Gees. I grew up on this music.
2
Grease (Original 1978 Motion Picture Soundtrack)
This is another movie that I loved growing up. Frankie Valli's Grease theme is the best.
3
Urban Cowboy: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack
I love Charlie Daniel's The Devil Went Down To Georgia and Johnny Lee's Looking for Love. This soundtrack has great country music.
4
Good Morning Vietnam soundtrack
This soundtrack contains classic hits from the Beach Boys, James Taylor and Louis Armstrong. I love it.
5
Mr. Holland's Opus soundtrack
This soundtrack contains John Lennon's classic Imagine and Jackson Browne's The Pretender and Ray Charles' I Got A Woman among others.
6
Ratatouille
The instrumental music makes this animated movie come alive.
See the full review, "This is an enjoyable score".
7
Xanadu Soundtrack
This is another movie I grew on. Great music from Olivia Newton and ELO here.
8
Breakfast At Tiffany's soundtrack
Henry Mancini's Moon River still touches me after all these years.
9
Forrest Gump: The Soundtrack - 32 American
This soundtrack is filled with classic hits from the 50s to the 80s. It also contains a beautiful instrumental piece by Alan Silvestri.
10
Rocky
Gonna Fly Now Rocky's theme by composer Bill Conti can still motivate me after 34 years.
11
Cars
I like the variety of songs on this soundtrack album. It has a mix of country music and pop music.
See the full review, "This is a soundtrack the whole family will enjoy".

I'll second the #6, I love the music in Ratatouille. I think that is one of the reasons my daughter loves that animated movie, she is a music lover already at the tender age of 2!

My nephew could not sit through that movie when he was three. He's 6 now and he loves it.

My daughter sits through it just fine, I guess that's the reason I've told her the TV is 'broken' and we don't watch it anymore. She is glued to it! :)
