Which US Players Should Start Against Australia?

With the game this Saturday (6/5/2010) against Australia the following list are the guys I think should start. This list was inspired by Ives Galarcep and his predictions here. It's the last game before the US take on England in their first match in the 2010 FIFA World Cup. What will Coach Bob Bradley do? Play the starting eleven or allow others to play to make sure there are no injuries? Let me know what you think and you can make your own list as well!

Robbie Findley

Everyone doubted this pick, but to be honest with you either Bob Bradley is a genius or he is very lucky. When Findly came on to the pitch in the Turkey game the US looked like a completely different team. Great movement, dribbles a little too much but ultimately did great. We need him in this game to see if that was just a fluke or if he can really show up and play like that.

DaMarcus Beasley

We haven't seen much of DaMarcus since the game the US played against The Netherlands. That game probably helped Beasley get on the roster but he now need to show that he can get into a sub position. I really hope Beasley has a good game if he plays. I could see him coming off at halftime and Bradley throwing Holden in or just having Holden start. This is a tough one.

Ricardo Clark

This was a tough pick. It cam down between Clark and Edu. I wouldn't be surprised if Bradely decides to go with Maurice Edu on this one just to keep Ricardo rested and free of injury. We shall see... Maybe even Torres in this spot. Another tough call.

Carlos Bocanegra

The Captain of the team should always start. Even though he had surgery only a few weeks ago, It is hard to tell he was under the knife by the way he look on the pitch. This game Boca needs to focus on leading the team and helping to fill the gaps that Gooch can't fill.

Jay DeMerit

Jay knows whats going on in the back line and with the sketchiness of Gooch and me not being completely sure if Bob Bradley will start either Spector or Cherundolo, I think it would be smart for Bradley to start DeMerit. Mainly to make sure we have some order in our defense. It would suck to go into the World Cup with a loss against Australia because of our defense.
