Walter Kraft and the Alien Menace

  • Mar 17, 2011

In the distant future, a mysterious Alien is trying to obliterate mankind and mankind’s only hope is a bounty hunter Walter Kraft. This is the story of Walter Kraft and the Alien Menace a SCI-FI thriller by Faroese-Danish author Einar Petersen. I must confess that among all the dystopian SCI-FI novels that I have read Walter Kraft, and the Alien Menace is certainly one of the best. The struggle of mankind against oppression really makes the book appealing.  Walter Kraft and the Alien Menace have been written with an exceptional degree of vigor, drama and intelligence. The plot of the novel is simply superb. Here we find the impending destruction of humanity, the exploitation by a capitalist corporation and the oppression of an evil clergy. The characterization is dead right, and it evokes much sentiment from the main characters such as Walter Kraft, Thorgeir, Lonnie, Tanya, etc. Essentially the novel is a study of the human mind. Here in the novel the readers can discover the darker side of humankind and how far the human can go when they are faced with oppression. Walter Kraft and the Alien Menace is a creative, insightful novel, and I recommend this book to all the SCI-FI fans out there.
