Development on Avatar began in 1994, when Cameron wrote an 80-page scriptment for the film. Filming was supposed to take place after the completion of Cameron's 1997 film Titanic, for a planned release in 1999, but according to Cameron, the necessary technology was not yet available to achieve his vision of the film. Work on the language for the film's extraterrestrial beings began in summer 2005, and Cameron began developing the screenplay and fictional universe in early 2006.
Avatar was officially budgeted at US$237 million. Other estimates put the cost between $280 million and $310 million for production, and at $150 million for promotion. But there is TRUE propaganda and there is FALSE propaganda. Why did the door gunner come from a poor family? How much land on this planet is controlled by people of European descent? And why?
Because of all of the poor door gunners over the last 500 years?
Do you know that double-entry accounting is 700 years old? What does that have to do with anything you say? How hard can it be if it is 700 years old especially with all of the cheap computers we have these days? But have you ever heard an economist suggest that accounting be mandatory in the schools? But we have all this blather about education. So why do we have so much poverty with so much great technology and so many expensive schools?
Sometimes propaganda is relevant because so many people have not cashed their reality check.
