Admit it, how many SXSW newbies thought this session was about fighting robots?
Battledecks is a session that personifies the SXSW experience and shouldn't be missed. Take one part powerpoint, one part karaoke, one part stand up comedy, mix it up and throw it against the wall and the ooze dripping down would be a good representation of battledecks.
This year, not only were the contestants at the top of their game, but the judges brought their A-game as well. Judge (Ted) Rheingold's ever evolving safari themed wardrobe was every bit as entertaining as the presentations.
I'm pissed that I missed Brian Solis's session, but if I HAD to miss it, at least it was so that I could attend Battledecks 2010.
