This is the way panels should be run! The two panelists were really just leading the conversation. The room was set up with the chairs around in a circle, and everyone really felt free to raise hands and enter the disscussion. i wish more panelists did this!

I feel like the panel got a little off topic, or maybe I just wasn't the target audience. I think that if you were a business owner or an entrepreneur, then this panel was very helpful.

But it did spark a thought that I am going to explore in a blog post "Can you maintain the entrepreneurial spirit while working for a large corporation?"

I've always felt that I have an entrepreneurial spirit, but I have never had that light bulb idea to start a company of my own.

Best / Worst Quotes

  • Crossing the Chasm - A great book by Geoffrey Moore that all entrepreneurs should read. It talks about the jump between early adopters and mainstream
  • Does your clothing dictate your behavior? Or does your behavior dictate your clothing?
  • "if you are dealing with an environment where you feel like you are not free to be yourself, then maybe it's not the right environment"
  • if you are creating content, you are creating culture
This is the way panels should be run!

I wish my flight got in sooner. I would encourage anyone who is in Austin at this time to attend this panel. This will be an excellent talk!
