I love lifting weights (although I should do it more). I feel very productive doing squats, curls and any other anaerobic exercises. I love the idea that I'm building muscle (which burns calories all day long) and strengthening my bones.
To sound cliche, yoga empowers me to breathe more and stop to reflect on what my body is doing and feeling --something I forget to do 99% of the time. Power yoga is extra great because it incorporates the power of the breath with aerobic and anaerobic exercising.
Pilates is fun because it focuses your exercising purpose on core muscles, posture and fluid movement. Plus everyone who partakes in pilates has a rockin bod and that is the superficial goal of exercise (duh).
Because it's fun to say "yah-ging". Jogging is great when I don't want to go to the gym or commit to a yoga class but to be honest, I get quite bored jogging and I usually only last about a mile. I really admire runners who can stay entertained (even with music) for miles and miles.
