The Jetsons
Much like Alvin and the Chipmunks, here's another relic from the past that's deemed a "classic" that I'm not a fan of.  Admittedly, I found this show amusing when I was a little kid, but this show had no lasting value as I aged, and it's so boring to watch as an adult now.      Family Guy made a humorous parody of The Jetsons opening, which is much …

Coffee
This is just a wonderful hot stimulant. If you need to be awake and alert, you drink coffee. It has a nice, robust, smokey flavor when black, which is the way I drink it!

Russian novels have a bad rep for being long and boring. This one is neither (well it can kind of qualify for long but is never boring).

Always grind your coffee right before brewing for the best flavor, and don't keep it in the fridge. 2-3 weeks after roasting, even whole coffee beans start to lose their flavor so buy and drink fresh!

Sci-fi literature
Sci Fi is one of my favs. I love just reading myself into a new time, new dimension, new planet. I would love to meet some of the great writers of sci fi and shake their hands. I wonder where their minds go to get away from it all.

this is another classic that was required. death, murder...absolutely wonderful. I had my times where I felt that I just had to muddle through and then there were times when I was on the edge of my seat. Well done!

Sci-fi is great! I tend to like the dystopian branch of sci-fi best, I think.

Very favorite book ever!!!! Oh the pain and murder just drives me crazy! I could read it again and again, but it was the very first time where the suspense shot me straight up out of the ceiling.

Althoug it is a russian classic the plot of this novel is so exciting that it will be topical and thrilling in all times. This book will keep your interest from the beginning till the end (of course, this is my opinion))

Crime and Punishment
Crime and Punishment is a very intense book but well worth the effort it takes to read it. It is the story of a bright but mentally tortured student (Rodion Romanovich Raskolnikov) whose views of human nature initially make him believe that he is justified in committing murder. He kills the pawnbroker Alena Ivanovna and her sister Lizaveta, who unexpectedly stumbles upon the scene. Raskolnikov spends …
