I'm a traveler at heart & have been nicknamed Travel Queen by friends & colleagues alike. Traveling has been my life passion for the last decade or so. As we enter a new decade, I'm excited as to what this new chapter of life will bring. Where will I travel to? Who will I meet? What will I see? How will I get there? When? It goes … more

In Spirit We Soar

There are times in life when one is presented a most universal opportunity to make an impact on history. Those times don't come often & at times economically impossible. Strangely enough, unless you grasp it, it passes you by without much of a fanfare. And yet, if you take action, it might not have made a dent in your life! That's Murphy's … more

Is this the beginning of an end?!

What is turning out to be a commercial venture becomes a potential catastrophe if not the beginning of an end for the world at large! I'm no petroleum engineer nor am I into anything technical at all. But what I'm gathering from the news and also from citizen journalism out there, well, get ready for the earth to shake!!! And not just in the … more

Where are the leaders?!

Stopping the world in its tracks: 1.3 million gallon a day!   The world is so into capitalism these days that even in the midst of a major catastrophe, all reporters could focus on is the loss of revenue and whether BP will be able to meet its obligations and stay solvent! What in effect is the world coming to? It makes me wonder if we are … more

The smallest long zoom compact camera I've ever had!

I'm a fan of Sony products but not so much Canon's. It's been more than a decade since my last Canon SLR camera. Well, I basically stopped having a hand in SLRs since cameras went digital. Partly because of my concern with weight and also my enthusiasm for photography. Regardless, I took lots of photos with my digital cameras. I simply … more

The robot & the violin

Japan Pavilion is my most favorite pavilion. Before I arrived at the Expo, this is one pavilion I must see, regardless of the time I’ve to queue for it. I Love Japan! And having been to the country more than 2 dozen times, I know even before I visit the Expo that the Japanese pavilion would be one of the most innovative, creative and best designed … more

Top European Destinations (30)

in the 100 Top Places (to see before you die) community
It's tough to pick up 30 destinations in Europe I like more than the rest (200+ cities I've visited in Europe itself!). Here is a list of them which I think are all must-sees. Generally, they are cities but a few of them might be smaller than our concept of a city (like Santorini & Wengen). In any case, these are the very best of them. Naturally, there are a few others which don't appear simply coz I haven't had a chance to visit although … more
