A woman loves romance and Hollywood has certainly shown us over the years the idea and concept of romance. Yet all of us differs (slightly perhaps?) on what we deemed romantic. Below is a list of mine, what do you think?
It's a movie with substance and yet still encompasses the most artistic settings I've ever seen. Great acting, great story, great directing. Simply awesome.
See the full review, "What Dreams May Come".
I love the storyline and I'm a die hard romantic! What can I say? It's silly movie but at times, people in love do silly things! Luckily, people in love always finds a way to work out & the path to their hearts!
When I first watched it decades ago, it was the most beautiful & romantic film I've ever seen! The music in this movie is what makes it so poetic and the actors & actresses are way too attractive to watch. A beautifully crafted movie. A classic!
I'm not quite sure why I love this one but the chemistry between Banderas & Zeta Jones sizzles. May be it's one of those movies that even when it's so bad, it is so good to watch! It certainly left me with a lasting impression.
I watched it again just recently. Reminded me of those times when we could talk to strangers online easily and yet find the words hard to say in person to some people in our lives. Tom Hanks & Meg Ryan are great in this one. Sleepless in Seattle might be the one that did it, but You've Got Mail is the one that got onto this list for me.
An old movie I enjoyed long time ago. Great story and acting by Tom Cruise & Nicole Kidman. One of my all time favorites as well as a classic.
What did you think of this list?

I was a huge fan of "Far and Away" when I was a kid. I'm not sure if I'd still feel that way now since my tastes have evolved since then, but it's one of those movies I've been wanting to revisit. I do love "What Dreams May Come", although the book is better. In fact, "Somewhere in Time" was based on a book by the same author... Richard Matheson. Have you read any of his work?

Yep, I know. But I saw both movies before I read his books. I agree with what you say about "Far & Away". I haven't seen it for awhile too but it stood out in my mind for some reasons! :-)
I prefer the movies though because my senses are well stimulated in those 2 movies. May be I don't have very imaginative mind, hehe... The only one book I enjoyed more than the movie is Dan Brown's "Angels & Demons". The movie I thought is a flop. The book is genius!
I liked Lake House and Somewhere in Time because of their science fiction elements. Just Like Heaven not only had that cool theme from The Cure, but also had a mysterious ending. Great list.
Eeep, I can't believe that I haven't seen most of these yet because I'm a sucker for romantic films! I included one of these in my Chick Flicks list. Thanks for the list, Sharrie, I will have to check these out :)

You haven't seen those because they are old movies! I'd have guess you were probably a kid when some of those movies premiered ;p

She can still rent! I've rented 1930s movies well before my time. :)
