reviewed Scentsy. September 30, 2009
I love candles in their purest form, so I was a bit skeptical when my buddy sent me a wickless Scentsy candle as a gift. In my mind, there was nothing more calming than lighting a (mildly) scented candle …

reviewed Cabela's Legendary Adventures [Wii]. August 17, 2009
While I may not agree with hunting in real life, I'm definitely a fan of shooting style video games and the Cabela family of hunting games (i.e. Big Game Hunter). As such, I decided to give Legendary …

I just saw that on your profile info it said you wanted to sare what you know about vegetarian and Mexican foods, both of which I'm a huge fan. I was wondering if you know what a good meat replacer would be for Puerco Pibil, one of my favorite Mexican dishes before I went veggie two years ago.

I WISH I did...with the exception of some fake sandwich meats which wouldn't work, all of the thicker meat substitutes I've tried have fallen short.. Pork is a hard taste to replicate, I guess!

Yes, the moral of the story is that's it's the principle of the thing. The money (unless you really need it) is almost an after thought. Everyone should be paid for thier work, otherwise we feel violated. This particular man I mentioned in my previous message died a few years ago a multi millionaire..the irony of the story is that he still hated and fussed about paying his employees, yet he gave millions to charity, and those you didn't know him that well thought he was a super hero...go figure!

Hi....I remember not getting paid one time when I was first working in broadcasting. We did our show at a hotel with a remote and every time I tried to get my money from my boss, he told me to call the hotel manager. He had the reputation of being tight fisted anyway. I knew the money was supposed to come from the station so I never contacted the hotel. Finally, after asking about a half dozen times, I refused to show up for work one night and that did it. My paycheck was waiting when I got there and that was the last time they faltered. I hope you get your money some day...

Thanks, Donna! It's not a lot of money to most people, so the cash is a non-issue for the most part. To me it's mainly the principle of good business/employer practices. I also wanted to share just in case anybody else was thinking about working for this company. Anyway I'm glad you finally got your pay check!

Welcome to Lunch, Stace!  I love your screen name :)  Something tells me that you'll enjoy these reviews of sushi, quinoa, twitter, and Pandora, as well as my list, Guide to Fabulosity.  A fun way to get started on Lunch is by rating data points (which I can see that you've already started doing!) to refine your Similarity Network.  You might like this Trader Joe's Products tag, which makes it super easy for you to rate and discover new products, as well as this Ridiculous Rap rating game.  Have fun poking around Lunch, Stace, and let me know if you have any questions! :)
