The Automotive X-Prize is a series of events and programs whose purpose is to inspire a new generation of viable, safe, affordable and super fuel-efficient vehicles. This year a new canidate from Peraves arrived called the E-Tracer. It is an all-electric blend between the motorcycle and automobile capable of speeds exceeding 150mph! The vehicle is propelled by a massive electric motor rated at 204hp. The slick areodynamic fuselage of the E-Tracer produces adrag coefficient of only 0.19, which is two to three times more efficent than many automobiles on the road today. This seems like an up and comming compeditor to our modern ways of transportation. Look out for it this September when the Progressive X-Prize cometition closes (here is the schedule)!
