Wow -- Over 30 years since the first movie came out and it still gets top honors in my list. Good vs Evil, Brass Bikinis, Light Sabers, Mythology and cool spaceships -- what's not to like? Even the incredible soundtrack by John Williams has withstood the test of time. Anyone who's ever borrowed my iPod knows they can find the complete musical scores among my "always with me" collection. George Lucas continues to expand on the galaxy with the new movies and now cartoon tv series, but nothing can compare to the original.
The greatest sports rivalry EVER! In terms of all-time rivalry's, it's probably only second to Israel/Palestine. Regardless of how much hype surrounds each game, these two teams always deliver. Unfortunately, I've only been able to appreciate these games via TV, so I can only imagine the intensity of the fans who are actually there. Some say Christmas only comes once a year, but I've always got two dates circled on my calendar for when these teams meet. Good luck getting me to do anything else on the nights Duke and Carolina face off.

I have to admit, that I'm starting to come around and enjoy my JC Equalizer shortboard more and more, but there's nothing like hanging out for a long session with your buddies on your longboard. On the shortboard, there's always more jockeying for waves and fatigue can set in quickly. However, when I'm out on the longboard, it's all about enjoying the company of friends, the beauty of the ocean, and the thrill of a nice easy ride down the line. Don't get me wrong, the Wahine can still tear it up when called upon, but the vibe I get just from seeing the ol' girl puts me at ease.

If you haven't noticed, Apple's stock has been on a tear lately. How can a company that sells "premium priced" products continue to rise during an economic downturn? They make kick-ass products. Yet with all the attention the excellent MacBooks and iPhone get, the Mac Mini has to be the most underrated product on the market. At the size of about 5 CD jewel cases stacked on top of each other, the Mac Mini crams in a ton of cool technology with the excellent Mac OS. My only complaint with the early Mini was that it didn't support dual monitors, but in the 2009 refresh, Apple fixed that as well. Wifi, bluetooth, IR receiver, file/print sharing, hd decoding, automated backups, dvd burning, etc. etc... The Mac Mini can be whatever you want it to be -- you can even install Windows on it if you're just not ready to make the switch, but after a few weeks in OS X, you won't go back.
My wife is starting to get concerned with the massive man-crush I have on Tiger. He's the greatest competitor ever. I don't even consider myself a golf fan, but I'll watch golf to watch Tiger just to witness his dominance over the field. Even his commercials are entertaining. Almost as impressive as Tiger's dominance is his quality as a role model. You don't hear about Tiger shooting himself in clubs, or forcing himself on women in Denver. With all the money he has amassed in earnings and sponsorships, it would be easy to let the money corrupt his character. Instead, you only hear about his generosity, his charity, and his complete dominance in his sport.

The creators of this show have to be around my age because all their pop-culture references resonate with me. The season premiere for season 4 was even more random than usual, but I still love this show. Unfortunately, I couldn't motivate fast enough to create the Monarch and Dr. Mrs. The Monarch costumes for me and @babymama for Halloween, but the intent was there. Just check out this PSA: "
In 1988 my cousin bought me the U2 Rattle and Hum album when I didn't even know who U2 was. While my interest in New Edition has faded over the years, U2 has continued to be favorite rock group. Album after album, U2 changes up their sound and image, but the songs coming out still unmistakably U2. Some may criticize them for selling out by lending their songs to product advertisements, but I can't blame someone for making money at something they're good at. Interspersed between the John Williams tracks on my iPod, you'll find U2.
Even though I cut my "First Person Shooter" teeth on Doom and Marathon (ha, yeah... Marathon for Mac), Ghost Recon has found a special place in my heart. The methodical, strategic game play gets my heart racing more than any of the other run and gun shooters out there. One-misstep could get you killed so you have to sit on the sidelines for upwards of 30 minutes as the rest of the mission is played out. That intensity translates to real adrenaline rushes and intense multiplayer action. The game is equally addictive on PC as well as Xbox360, so whichever system is your platform of choice, you're in for some intense game play. A "must have" for the strategic shooter.
There's nothing quite like a Guinness. To be more specific, Guinness on Draft. The bottles and cans try to recreate the taste you get at the pub with special CO2 gimmicks, but nothing can compare to a pint expertly pulled at the local pub. Pair it with a burger or some hot wings, or just knock back a few by themselves. Either way, there's something comfortingly familiar about drinking a Guinness.
If you are what you eat, I'm about 30% Queso sauce. I know it's bad for me, but it tastes so damn good. The perfect Qdoba burrito: -Chicken -Black beans -Queso sauce -Green (medium) salsa -Cheese -Sour cream While Qdoba and Chipotle battle it out for burrito supremacy, we get to sit back and reap the rewards!
I'm a technology early adopter. I thoroughly enjoy geeking out with the latest hardware, software and electronics. I probably have as much fun setting up, tweaking, and configuring systems as I do actually … more
