Hey Bethany, Thanks for the welcome. I'll have a look at some reviews. I don't like the iPhone because it is very poor spec in terms of hardware (screen resolution, CPU speed, audio quality, security and many other things). The only really good thing it has compared to other mobile phones is the App store. Microsoft and Google are going to have similar App stores soon, so the next 6-12 months will be very interesting. By the way, I own http://www.getmecooking.com. Feel free to check it out and let me know what you think :-) Thanks. Paul

Hi Paul, I have Tmobile, so though I wanted to try the iphone, I didn't have the opportunity. I currently have the G1 which I have mixed feelings about. Initially it was awful, but with monthly updates they have managed to fix a few of the glitches. What are you using for a phone? I'll check out getmecooking shortly! Glad to have you around!:)

Hi Bethany, Actually the iPhone is fine for most people, but I am a geek so I like to get the most out of my mobile device and the iPhone is very limited (which is one reason why many people 'jailbreak' it - i.e. use non-standard and non-supported versions of the software on it. Although problems and incompatibilities often occur with jailbroken iPhones. I haven't used the G1, but I have read a lot of reviews and seen a lot of video posts about it. They say that it is an okay phone with software that is currently okay and shows good promise. The main problem with it is that it is the first generation of its type so you have to expect some niggles, etc at first. However I am very excited by it as the G1 is made by HTC (one of the top hardware manufacturers right now) and the software is Google Android which shows great promise and will have none of the limitations that plague the iPhone. The Google App store will be out soon and that will give Android a huge boost. I have the HTC Touch HD which I got in January. For me it was the best phone available at the time. I do miss not having a proper keyboard and it has got a few niggles which make it less than perfect, however overall it is a good phone. It runs on Windows Mobile and there are a lot of free applications out there for it. The Windows app store will be out in September/October so that will encourage a lot more people to write apps for it (just think how many Windows developers there are vs developers of other systems - including iPhone). By the way, I was trying to use lunch.com from my work PC today but I couldn't access most of the functionality such as revealing/expanding hidden comments. Other sites are okay and it works fine from my home PC. So I am assuming that my work network was striping out some of the code needed for your site to work (I can see from the code that lunch.com uses a lot of JavaScript). Many large companies strip out certain JavaScript from websites for security reasons. My company has 10,500 staff, so that is a lot of potential customers who cannot effectively use your site properly... It's 00:05 now so I'd better go to bed. There are some replied on the getmecooking.com review section of lunch.com that I need to reply to, so I will do that from home tomorrow night :-) I hope you like getmecooking.com It is still in its early stages and we are currently trying to attract members. Let me know what you think (good and bad) :-) Thanks.
