It's clear to most people, both the older generations and the younger, the conservative and the liberal, that technology plays a huge part in the way our society operates. It has the ability to be incredibly productive and useful as an educational tool and can help people of all kinds to communicate better. But on the downside, technology has also made it easier for people to take advantage of one another and to be destructive.

Technology has a seductive and an addictive quality to it. Often it appears morally ambiguous, but it can be a dangerous influence on children. Over-exposure to almost anything will have a negative impact and when it comes to television, films, music, the internet, video games, magazines, and popular culture in general, technology really is a double-bladed sword.
