During this book my emotions were more dazed. I was lost in the world with Alice, feeling her feelings of fright and worry and confusion.           This is a book that I believe everyone should read, young and old. I believe this book is so timeless because no matter where you are in life, it becomes relatable. We all have confusion and worries and this book lets us get lost in someone else's.        Albeit the setting of …

When I read Alice In Wonderland as a child, I had no idea about the effects of magic mushrooms, nor do I now. So, whether or not the book or film is about such matters remains beyond my scope of reality. However, I seriously doubt that a children's book portrayed anything related to drugs. For, it is actually the audience and reader who have taken Alice on such an adventure outside her own.      I would recommend Alice In Wonderland, …

This was a  book I picked up out of interest due to the 'Alice in Wonderland' movie that was recently released. I haven't seen the film yet, but I CAN say that the book was a fun, fluffy read in between heavy reads.      Even though it is a children's novel, there is a bit more depth to the story than what is presented. Our book club read this in between bouts of longer, heavier novels and still found interesting connections in terms of analysis with themes …

I could never get into this as a kid. Got hooked as a young adult though. So much more than just a straightforward story.

I don't know which Alice movie they're referring to, but they all make one mistake, so hear this loud and clear - the Alice books are, and were intended to be, NONSENSE. Any attempt to impose a moral on them is a heinous sin. Period.

Excellent quasi-fantasy. Read it with an eye-for-otherworldly meaning encoded in its depths, then read "Mimzy were the Borogroves"

I loved this book growing up. I don't know what drew me to it the first time but I'd always ask my mom to read some of it to me before bed. I think the great thing about Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is that it incorporates so much into the story. There are scary parts as well as funny parts, mystery and adventure, along with a ton of great characters to go along with it. I loved the little rabbit, I think mainly because my mom liked him, but he always made me laugh. I would run around …

It was Willy Wonka who told as that, “A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men,” but it was Lewis Carroll who showed us what that means.  If ever there was nonsense which could be truly relished by the wise, it is found in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.   From the moment we tumble down the rabbit’s hole with Alice until the moment when we have read the very last word on the very last page, we are traveling in a world of delight.  And …

This book went by must faster than I thought it would when I first picked it up, but I love Alice in Wonderland and like making comparisons between the movies and the book.

honestly, i liked the walt disney movie better than the original books, through the looking glass included. its was like the story was just slow paced in the books. then again it was meant for children. and everyone i think can agree that walt disneys movies werent actually meant for children after all.

one of the best books ever written!

I simply love the way Lewis Carroll writes. There's so much wordplay and so many frivolities. It's silly, and it's episodic, and it's for kids, but it's a fun read.

Such an interesting book. It is a place of mad people, strange beauties, interesting adventures and self exploration. We all owe Caroll one for telling us this wonderful story.
