Can't beat scratch-made, freshly baked cookies. But sometimes you get a coupon or a hankering for that strangely delicious ingredient, convenience! Or your milk is just begging you for some Oreos.
What can you say about Oreos? They're iconic, versatile and just plain yummy. I want to know who the genius was who came up with the fudge-covered concept. Give that person a Nobel Prize!
It's not just that I feel the need to be somewhat healthy and sneak some fruit into this list. These often found their way into my sack lunches as a kid. They're comfort food.
Almost the saltine cracker of the cookie world, you can say they're a bit plain, but their charm is in their simplicity. Strangely addicting, I can just keep popping those things into my mouth. I can eat about a million in one sitting.
What did you think of this list?

What No Chips Ahoy soft cookies. Throw em in the Microwave for like 30 seconds. The closest you will get to heaven. Awesome list dude.
Mmmmm, tasty :D You're making me crave cookies right now! I love Oreos as well (I actually eat Trader Joe's Joe Joe cookies) and in terms of Pepperidge Farm cookies, Bordeauxs are my fave :)
Those are all great picks, thanks for sharing. In high school I used to be able to polish off half a bag of Keebler Soft Batch chocolate chip cookies. Now I shudder at the thought, hah!

Oh, yeah, I forgot about that red bag! We had a bunch of those in our lunches, too. I thought they were a step up from Chips Ahoy, personally.
sweet list. Someone gave me a box of Girl Scout Cookies the other day, Samoas are the best! Check out these other lists: http://lunch.com/t/ybg and http://lunch.com/t/wm8. Thanks!

Gotta agree with the links, Thin Mints all the way!
Great list, Jay! I was so bummed when they discontinued number 1, I've had to learn how to make them which isn't as fun without that lovely ingredient, convenience ;p I like what you said about Nillas too, it's true- they are the saltine cracker of the cookie world!

Wait ... seriously? No more Fudge Covered Oreos? Nooooooooooo! Oh, well, we'll continue covering the double stuffed in Belgian chocolate.

We can't find them in our Safeways or Luckys and trust me, every one we go to I look! I do the Milk Chocolate Hersheys melted and dip the cookies in there but, Belgian Chocolate sounds MUCH better :)
I'm a Southern California guy who loves food almost as much as I love my wife! Almost! I also love to travel. But I think the best way to experience a new place is to try the food. Not the stuff at … more
