R.I.P.D. (2013 film)
R.I.P.D. didn't have a chance.  Based on a rather unknown comic with a premise that isn't too different from what were already popular movies in Ghostbusters and Men In Black and both of …

There is no doubt that this newest Thor movie is superior to the 2011 movie that focused far too much on S.H.I.E.L.D. and building the Marvel universe that it left it's title character and his world …

Escape Plan (2013 film)
The Expendables films gave us a team up that long time action fans have wanted to see for a long time, Sly and Arnie team up to fight the bad guys.  Brief as those moments are, we did get it.  …

As they would say in The Princess Bride, it is inconceivable that I never invited you to the Silver Screen classic films community!  Duh!  Glad to have you aboard.  We put together some stuff in memory of the leggy & sexy Jane Russell since she passed recently.  And we have one guy who has been writing classic film reviews non-stop.  Drop by, leave a few comments and do a few polls and even write a review or quick tip.  You know the drill!

Thank you for the invite, and I didn't think you'd forget but I haven't seen many old movies. Not even Citizen Kane and Casablanca. I did do a True Grit comparison though. I don't know if you saw it.
March 03, 2011
When I first started the community I had not seen many either except for a few Karloff and Hitchcock films. I'm really on a roll this year. No pressure, just do the best you can. Yes, I did see the True Grit comparison and wrote a couple of reviews on these films too. I still tend towards the original John Wayne because I liked the ending better. :)
March 03, 2011
It is a nicer ending. I got it on the DVR and after the commercial we meet J Noble Dagget and see the ending and it's nice. I still gotta say, by the by the newer one is a better movie.

OK, well for me it's right at the finish line nose to nose. Both films have their pluses and minuses. Really hard for me to choose between them. Thanks.
