The right hand to every good villain. My favorite Bond henchmen

  • Aug 23, 2010

They're at the beck and call of their masters, they have no problem doing wicked deeds and Bond faces each and every one of them.
Some call him cartoony, some too outlandish for Bond but he was a perfect fit in the era he came out in which was the Roger Moore time of Bond. Jaws was super strong, damn near invincible and what puts him at the top of the list is that Bond in one of my favorite scenes of my favorite Bond movie makes Bond look scared. That takes talent.

Donald Grant
The prototype of the silent and blonde killer in the Bond series of film. Robert Shaw plays him to the hilt as a chilling stalker following Bond throughout the movie. His fist fight on the train in the third act is the best fist fight in a movie ever.

Odd Job
The epitome of who people think of when they think of Bond movie villains as far as henchman go. Harold Sakata was a big stocky guy with a killer hat, a smug smile and killer loyalty.

Baron Samedi
The enigmatic voodoo man of Dr. Kananga's gang guards the Poppy fields in San Monique. Nothing major other then everyone remembers his evil laugh and scary visage.

Fiona Volpe
The sexy Italian redhead is not easily lured away from her job or duties when it comes to Bond. The best female villain of the Connery era short of Rosa Klebb and Lucianna is much easier on the eyes. Famke Jansen is the only other name in her league and she was 30 years later.

I love how there's a henchwoman on this list! That video is great and the Lily Allen song behind it is so perfect for her. Thanks for sharing!

Fiona is great. I really should have had more to say about the Baron though.
