While some will say Move Along Home is the worst episode of the season (and maybe the series) I at least found enjoyment in watching that episode, instead of this episode which does it's best to cover up the "bottle episode" aspect with crazy things going on such as emus running around, an amorous Dax, a famous baseball player and Rumplestillskin. Too random and ultimately boring. It's this kind of episode that shows why the series needed to branch out more later on.
Before Deep Space Nine eased on into it's later seasons about things like the horrors of war, we had to endure the horrors of a racquetball game first. Oh yes, I'm SERIOUS. Racquetball is a plot point. No disrespect to the sport itself but........man oh man is this lame.
Troi's mom comes aboard the station and the crew start acting horny toward each other. None of the good stuff I mentioned above actually happens, oh wait there isn't anything good about this, unless you want something really silly and pointless or you are one of 8 people who are fans of Troi's mom.
Season 4 was full of great episodes and I couldn't pick one that I didn't enjoy, or wasn't good-except this one. I hated the Maquis story (more or less the way Voyager made them a bunch of whiny brats) and Eddington's speech at the end pushed this one over the edge for me personally.
The same season of Let He Who Is Without Sin..., and THIS episode wins for the sole reason of being a LAME retread of my favorite season 2 episode, Neccessary Evil. What do we learn after this pile of crap that Odo wasn't so infalible in the good ol' days? Kinda hinders his character looking back at him in the early seasons when he was so straight faced and ridged. Let He Who Is Without Sin...., at least had Leeta and Vanessa Williams to sex things up a bit, even though the rest of the episode sucked on toast. This episode to me is just bad.
I like Ezri, I really do, but her appearance on the station irks Worf who acts like a jerk and she manages to annoy Garak who can't stand being counciled by her and even Sisko has a hard time with her and by the end, you'd wish she'd go home too. She does shape up by the end. Much like season 4, a lot of good episodes, but this one was the weakest for me.
