Now, to get things started, here's the first promotional image from the new film directed by Tim Burton.

What are people's thoughts on the look of the production design, the costumes, the characters, etc.?

Looks to be darkly comedic and yet there has an eerie atmosphere around it. I dunno "Sleepy Hollow" collides with "Sweeney Todd"? As long as it isn't a musical "Dark Shadows" then I would be fine....

Yeah, I kind of like the look. It's a cross between your typical '60s drama and Edward Gorey. But for the record, I do not like Helena Bonham Carter with red hair.

Count O, I am looking forward to this reboot. I hope this can do for DS what J.J. Abrams did for Star Trek. I really had enjoyed the 91 Series and was one of the people who marched on NBC headquarters when they were cancelling it. Now I don't have the same passion I once had but I am still a huge fan.

One thing that gives me hope is that they are setting this in the early 1970s instead of the present. I hate cellular phones and modern tech in supernatural movies.
