I'd like to bring out the many incarnations of the Aswang and how the different myths of vampirism often reflect the situation of a place during that time. For a time, there was a huge number of abortions in the Philippines and some other areas in Asia, then the myth of the "Tianak" surfaced. (may be known to different cultures by a different name) It is a dead infant spirit that drinks human blood who may or not also consume human flesh to keep itself alive.

Mmmm, evil zombie-vampire babies. I can dig it. Where'd you hear or read about them?
