You think there is real truth to the myth established that the older a vampire is, the more powerful he can be (as in modern fiction? Do you think the amount of blood a vampire consumes has something to do with this? Where do you think this myth originated?

Of course, vampires aren't real in the sense that you're talking about, but if they were it's hard to determine if a vampire would be more powerful or less so as it evolved. I think that modern vampires would be more human in appearance and possess greater speed and agility while older ones would be more feral and physically powerful.
As people age from their early years until about thirty, they grow physically stronger and more knowledgable. SInce the vampire does not age and most people when this myth was created did not live til their 30th birthday, it is natural that they would believe that the older vampires are the more powerful ones. Essentially they have eternal youth.
