This is the second book in the Twilight Saga
There isn't much I can say about the plot that wouldn't give too much away. Bella and her vampire boyfriend go through some changes and Bella's relationship with young Jacob Black becomes more important. Changes are in store for everyone and the effects are devastating, heart warming and even magical.
I thought this second book was just as fantastic as the first, so many things happen and alter it's really a whirlwind. It's a book full of emotion and discovery, of hurt and healing. This is one of those one box of tissue books… so many moving moments, both happy and sad, I read with a tissue in my hand at all times.
This saga has captured me body and soul…and while my world continues on around me, I am locked in its pages.

Good review. My review of Twilight was less than enthusiastic. I do agree that New Moon has some potential, being only a third of the way through it before I write a review.

Despite the other reviews, this happens to be my favorite book in the twilight series. This is really Jacob's book. This book puts a lot of the puzzling and cliff hangers of twilight all together and sets up for the next two books. I enjoyed the Twilight series as a compelling and quick read, but this book dragged on and spent too much time on Bella and Jacob. Jacob lovers probably loved the book for that reason, but if you prefer Edward to Jacob or if you prefer reading about a Bella who isn't angsty, you will be sadly disappointed in this novel. It does build Bella and Jacob's character slightly, but as the whole series is focused on the love between Edward and Bella, this book does not fit. … more

i will say right off the bat that this is my least favorite book in the twilight saga. i found myself angry a lot while reading it. (if you havn't read the book and don't want to know what happens, stop reading here!) in the first few chapters edward decides that bella is so unsafe in his world that it would be better for her if he and his family leave and never return. so of course im mad at edward for leaving, for one because hes my favorite character, and for two because hes just hurting … more
