When you are starting a yoga practice, many things seem complicated and foreign. Everyone around you seems to know what there are doing, while the teacher is speaking to you in another language and bending you in the opposite way your body is supposed to bend. When I took my first yoga class, I needed to purchase my own mat, or rent one from the yoga studio. Gaiam is one of the most well-known yoga companies for good reason. Its products are built specifically for yoga -- from mats and straps to clothing and instructional DVDs. There are few brands out there that live up to a solid 5 rating and Gaiam is definitely one of them. Every time I go to gaiam.com I want to buy EVERYTHING. It's yogi heaven.
