Just Use Less!

I am tired of hearing my buddy tell me how eco friendly he is. The new flatscreen that uses less electricity was a must even thought he rarely watches  television.  His other two televisions are perfectly fine, and so one is in his living room and the other is in his basement and the new one is in his bedroom.  Of course each television is hooked up to a stereo and a vcr and a dvd player.  And then his new hybrid ford Escape.  To make room for it, he built a three car garage as he couldn't bear to sell his mustang, and hisother pick up had to be kept in case he had to haul heavy loads. Then he had to install an brand new high efficiency furnace. (The garage is heated of course.)

If we all were just satisfied with one television, one vehicle, a smaller house, using our older furniture just one more year... you get the idea.  If we would all just use less....

Good points. Your buddy isn't big on conservation. He needs to think before he buys and save some money. Thanks for the review.

I agree. Instead of buying a television that uses less electricity, and having to worry about disposing of your old television in an eco-friendly manner, why not just turn off your old television when you're not watching it? Instead of buying all new "eco-friendly" products, people should just use their old products, but be aware of more eco-friendly ways to use them. Excellent point.
