So You Wanna Be A Rock Star??

"Guitar Hero World Tour" is my first foray into the "Guitar Hero" world. I must admit that I was a bit nervous in the beginning, but after playing just the intro to a few songs, I began to feel very comfortable with the guitar in my hands. "Guitar Hero" allows you to practice, start out in a garage band and then work your way to the top. You can also battle it out with guitar gods like Ted Nugent. As you get better and play more songs, you get cash for gigs and unlock rockers like Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins fame.

This set also features a nice batch of tunes ranging from Ozzy Osbourne's "Crazy Train" and "Mr. Crowley" to Van Halen's "Hot For Teacher." Jane's Addiction, Foo Fighters, Sex Pistols and the Hush Puppies are just a few of the other bands that have tunes on this game.

"Guitar Hero World Tour" is highly addictive and terribly fun. You'll feel like a star and won't be able to stop rockin' once you get the hang of the game. Plan for a few hand cramps as well.

Highly recommended.

This is an incredible game that is insanely fun to play. It's especially fun to play with a group of friends. My wife and I enjoy playing together and my kids enjoy trying to play as well but it's quite difficult for them. I believe there are 86 songs on this game and most are really good songs. There are a few of songs that I have never heard of but I like almost all of them. There are also additional songs that you can download for a fee and about 15-20 that you can download for free from the …

I've been playing Rock Band 2 for the past month and trying to write a review without comparing the two is impossible. I will try to keep the comparisons to a minimum and review the Guitar Hero as I experienced it.     Gameplay:     Guitar Hero lets four friends rock out to some of the best songs in rock history using drums, lead, bass, and vocals. All the instruments do an adequate job with only a few glitches...the most annoying being the star power deployment. …

I love GHWT, it is great fun for everyone, has great songs on it and the drum kit is cool. I am a complete GH addict, i play it everyday.

This is actually the first Guitar Hero game I have ever played, so I can't compare the game to the previous versions. As far as the hardware, the wireless guitar that comes with this kit works well and I've never had it mess up on me yet. It seems very responsive and is built well enough that I can jam on it without thinking it will break. As for the game itself... it's really addictive and has some great songs that are done really well. What I mean is, the button fret combinations are really fun …

Until a couple weeks ago I'd never played any of the Guitar Hero games. It's true! Somehow they'd completely passed me by. Well, a couple weeks ago one of my friends lent me one of the games and a controller, and since then I've learned the glory of the game! So much so that I bought Guitar Hero - World Tour and have been enjoying the heck out of it!    You know how the game works. You get a guitar-shaped controller and use it to play notes in time to what's displayed on the …

I have all the GH games and have never been able to conquer playing the guitar but now I have found my person in life. Being 39 years old, I now know I need to become a professional drummer...LOL(NOT). OMG I LOVE THIS GAME! The entire family gets involved. So many more songs to choose from, character selections and options of play. I do however wish the freestyle with the Mii's was a little better. YOU MUST GET THIS GAME. Enough said.

Despite looking extremely cool, I have to admit that I'm a dork. I grew up on the outskirts of the small town of Oberlin, LA. I have since relocated to the Lake Charles, LA area.I love my home state … more
