Somewhere Over the Pachyderm Rainbow
Another election looms, and while this collection of political poetry musings by Jennifer C. Wolfe is dated for the 2010 elections, little has changed; they apply just as well today, if only with a few …

Sarabande by Malcolm R. Campbell
Matter of taste, and mine has never led me, not easily, to fantasy or science fiction reading--yet Malcolm R. Campbell, with his fantasy novel Sarabande, easily pulled me in. The main character, our mythic …

Keepsake by Kristina Riggle
A mother's fear: a knock on the door from family protective services talking about taking away your child. What good mother wouldn't turn somersaults to keep her child home and her family intact? Any …

Into the Rumored Spring by Joannie Stangeland
There's a reason, oh many, why Joannie Stangeland is the poetry editor on my masthead at The Smoking Poet—she knows, lives, breathes poetry. Into the Rumored Spring is her gift to a friend who had, but …

Not Famous Anymore by Michael Loyd Gray
Elliott Adrian is famous. Very famous. And he hates that. He hates *that* and he also hates *it*—the mystical qualities with which some are blessed (or cursed, depending on one's perspective) and that …

Welcome to Lunch Zinta! Are you from Latvia by any chance? I've lived in Riga for 10 years! I'm a Brand Ambassador here and I am always around to answer any questions you may have. It looks like we may have a lot in common if you're into nature, organic food, etc... I thought you may also be interested in the Healthy Lifestyle and Green Living communities. You may also find @duffbert's review of The ASJA Guide to Freelance Writing helpful. I'm enjoying your reviews! Anyway, make yourself at home and have fun!

Thank you for the welcome! I am indeed Latvian, and as of this writing, I am but two days away from another trip to Latvia to visit family and friends. I'd love to know how you became a Riga resident? Do you speak Latvian?

You're welcome! Lucky you! I haven't been back to Latvia since 1999. I was born in Russia in the Ural mountains, my family moved to Latvia when I was one year old because my grandparents got an apartment there for us during the times of the Soviet Union (veterans apartment). So that's how I ended up spending 10 years there! We lived in Zolitude. I absolutely love Riga and I miss it so much :) I miss Jurmala as well! So many childhood memories, now I just have a ton of photos to remember it by. Have fun there and take my greetings to Latvia along with you! :)

I will take your good wishes along with me. Jurmala will be one of the many places I will visit ... I have family living in Jurmala. Leaving in the morning ...
