The Sacred Machu Picchu
The journey to Machu Picchu was one filled with anticipation as my friend Julie and I stayed over at Cuzco to aclimitize for the hike to Machu Picchu. Well, actually, more like a slow walk. We didn't do the Inca Trail as we had limited time. Instead, we took the train ride all the way to a nearby town (Aguas Calientes) and stayed there for a night before we approached Machu Picchu in the early morning. All went well with the trip and we got to not only see Machu Picchu but experience its peaceful …
