Aman Resorts
My wife and I wanted to reserve at the new Aman Zoe resort in Greece this summer with our 2 baby children (under 3yrs old). The daily charge was approx EUR 800 - 900/day and we were ok with that. However the resort wanted to charge us an additional EUR 100/day for the child.   We tried to figure out what additional services will be provided for that additional service charge, but other …

Amankora
If there is one place to spend one's honeymoon, this ought to be the place! The most luxurious resort in the Kingdom of Bhutan, Amankora greeted its first guests sometime in 2009 and has 24 suites in total. Prices don't come cheap when it comes to all Aman Resorts, much less at such a special location. Be prepared to pay some US$1000 a night at the least! Travel to Bhutan doesn't come …

Aman Summer Palace
For the opulent and the rich, where is the best place to make yourself a home away from home? The Summer Palace indeed! Live like the Empress did in the modern comfort of Aman Resorts. Well, if you've got the dough you're most welcome! ;-)

Definitely the resort to stay in if you're heading Borobudur, the largest Buddhist monument in the world. Provided that money is of not of great concern! Otherwise, a spa experience at this resort would be excellent too!

My friend had her (2nd) wedding here. Is it heavenly? Certainly it is. Her marriage wasn't heavenly though. It didn't last! Nonetheless, this is a resort you must visit at least once if you haven't done so; whatever the occasion is!

Amandari
At the Amandari, you'd be having your meals next to the rice paddies which is quite a hit with many photographers. The way to experience this resort without paying a huge price tag is to just get yourself a reservation at the hotel's restaurant. Best for lunch!

Amankila
One of my favorite resorts in Bali. I have the fortune to visit it when it was first launched, back then in early 90s. The resort is not in the touristy areas of Bali, hence, it's far away from the maddening crowd. The best part of it is that it overlooks the ocean and with private pools in each of the beach houses. That was way too cool back then. Imagine, even today, the concept of having your …

Aman Resorts
One of my all time favorites in resorts living. Aman speaks of quality and tranquility. Unique with distinctive theme and unbeatable locations. Truly worth a visit even if you don't intend to spend the money to stay here!

Three words: The Very Best! I've had the pleasure of visiting 3 of Aman's properties in Bali; Amankila, Amanusa and Amandari. It's hyper expensive but worth the money for exotic locations like those in Bhutan and Bora Bora.

I hate to say this, but I don't think I you should stay here because you can experience most of what resort has to offer without paying the huge price tag for a room.      For example, rooms cost $600/night in the off season and $1500/night in the high season. I'm sure the rooms are spectacular (there are only 40 rooms at the resort) but if you compare that to staying across …
