Ok, I went to Fla ,2 flights down & 2 flights back..My 4 lb beautiful 5 mo old chihuahua,Lola flew with me, in my arms. This Dog was a laugh a minute..Her expressions are beyond explanation ,except they appear as human expressions lol haha, she has wrinkles over her eyebrows & huge mexican eyes!! Well,as we went up,her neck went way up huge eyes & looking outside like what in the wold are we doing? her eyes looking outside ,as we went up to reach our altitude haha, hit an air pocket & her arm flew up in the air lol,she saw the clouds & her expression said(wow what is that Mommy?) landing, as the plain tipped on its side ,she spotted the land and her eyes were huge, like oh wow , land & I am way up high above it, then the serious eyes, what in the world is this, then clouds again & her head dipped down with huge eyes again, as I laughed so did the people across from us, he asked is this her first time flying, I said yes, and they laughed so hard !!!ok , funniest part ever, going down lol hahaha, was too fast ,it felt like a crash landing,we all were looking at each other..then the loud vavavavavava sound, Lola's eyes huge, neck stretched as high as it could get ( attack mode) her expression ..oh my God,what is all this noise, oh God help us..huge eyes hahaha, then the hard landing she nearly jumped onto her feet, looking outside with squinted eyes, like this is not real,it's a dream right ? what in God's name is this......then off the plane..she was a perfect lady, same story on the rest of the flights. Chihuahuas are just the best dogs in the world, the best companions, and if you want a good chihuahua, treat it like a baby always, never be mean or aggressive to the dog..just a firm voice for the mistakes & they are super intelligent animals, 2 corrections is all she needs, and she has it down pat!! About this topic
Wiki
The Chihuahua is the smallest breed of dog in the world and is named after the state of Chihuahua in Mexico.
Breed standards for this dog do not generally specify a height, only a weight and a description of their overall proportions. As a result, height varies more than within many other breeds. Generally, the height ranges between six and ten inches. However, some dogs grow as tall as 12 to 15 inches. Both British and American breed standards state that a Chihuahua must not weigh more than six pounds for conformance competition. However, the British standard also states that a weight of two to four pounds is preferred and that if two dogs are equally good in type, the more diminutive or smaller is preferred. The Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI) standard calls for dogs ideally between 1.5 and 3.0 lb, although smaller ones are acceptable in the show ring. Pet-quality Chihuahuas (that is, those bred or purchased as companions rather than show dogs) often range above these weights, even above ten pounds if they have large bone structures or are allowed to become overweight. This does not mean that they are not purebred Chihuahuas; they do not meet the requirements to enter a conformation show. Oversize Chihuahuas are seen in some of the best, and worst, bloodlines. Typically the breed standard for both the long and short coat chihuahua will be identical except for the description of the coat.
Chihuahua breeders often use terms like miniature, teacup, ...
